DESTINATIONS

Taylan was born in 1975 in Antakya, Turkey. He has lived 17 years in Antakya and then 1 year in Denizli prior to university education in Ankara, professional career in  Istanbul, Turkey.

He holds a Master of Science degree at project management from Northwestern University (Chicago,IL,USA) as well as another Masters degree in Building Sciences from Istanbul Technical University (Istanbul/Turkey) and a Bachelors  (1998) in Architecture from Middle East Technical University (Ankara/ Turkey). 

Taylan enrolled to M.E.T.U. Department of Architecture in 1993. During his 5 years in the university he was an active member of E.A.S.A (European Architecture Students Assembly) & T.M.O.B (Turkiye Mimarlik Ogrencileri Bulusmasi) as well as M.E.T.U Architecture club. He became National Contact for Turkey in E.A.S.A between 1996 - 1998 and joined the E.A.S.A. meetings in Poland-1995, France-1996, Istanbul-1996, Romania-1997.   

Taylan started his professional career as an Assistant Project Coordinator with Tatko Group-Istanbul for a construction project worth 60 million USD, which included 2 high-rises with business, shopping, and recreational - residential centers. Following the Tatko Plaza project he served as a Field Engineer for Boyteks Construction Company at the renovation of Swissotel in Istanbul. After completion of the Swissotel project, he was drafted by Nortel Networks (Europe, Middle East & Africa) Turkey in 1999 as a Site Operations Engineer. He worked in in Civil works team in Istanbul – Turkey and as an engineer for preparing the bids of international opportunities in account team in Paris-France between the years 1999– 2001. Afterwards, he was contracted as Project Manager for Nortel Networks (Asia-Pacific) responsible for the construction, installation & commissioning of a USD 60 million wireless GSM-900 Mhz telecommunication project in Pakistan in 2002. After geting his masters degree at Northwestern University, Chicago He moved to the "Jungle" -New York- for 2 years 2004&2005. He worked with Stegla Group in significant new construction and renovation projects located in New York and Connecticut.

Taylan has traveled  to the Czech Republic, Greece, Netherlands, Egypt, France, Italy, Morocco, Pakistan, Poland, Romania, Spain, Tunisia, the UK, Thailand, USA and within Turkey. 

He is living & working in "Windycity" -Chicago- now and married with Nevin
